# Discourse Restrict PMs to certain Groups

In case you need to limit general audience from PMing members of certain groups, this plugin will help you achieve such task. You can also make some groups able to PM members of restricted groups.

There are two settings to become available upon plugin activation:

| Setting name | Description |
| --- | --- |
| discourse restrict pms to group enabled | Put groups you would like to wall off incoming PMs |
| discourse restrict pms privileged groups | Put groups whose members will be able to PM restricted groups |

Unprivileged users, attempting to send a PM either individually or to the group where users from `discourse restrict pms to group enabled` present will receive a blocking composer notice:
