Hey, So I have been running Discourse for a long time without any trouble, but I experienced slowness and some issues with the Discourse yesterday while trying to update, when tried to update it, there was no output of the update. I thought to myself, okay no worries, let me just stop the container…

What about curl --unix-socket /shared/nginx.http.sock ?

[이미지] Marcell Csendes: The socket file somewhat limits me, because I wanted to curl http://localhost, but I can’t because its just a socket. Try cd /var/discourse ./launcher enter app curl -v localhost

[이미지] Falco: curl -v localhost This is what I tried, but connection refused, because its trying on port 80.. since its a socket file, there will be nothing on port 80

The upstream? That seems to be up. * Trying 127.0.0.1:3000... * Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1) port 3000 (#0) > GET / HTTP/1.1 > Host: localhost:3000 > User-Agent: curl/7.74.0 > Accept: */* > * Mark bundle as not supporting multiuse < HTTP/1.1 200 OK < Date: Wed, 09 Nov 2022 19:34:50 GMT < C…

As you can see it seems to be even accessible from the Raspberry nondocker system as well. Thanks Falco, I believe in this case my primary Web Server is going crazy… marcell@raspberry:/var/discourse/shared/standalone$ sudo curl -GET --unix-socket ./nginx.http.sock http://localhost/io <html lang="…

[이미지] Marcell Csendes: Thanks Falco, I believe in this case my primary Web Server is going crazy… Cool, happy that we were able to at least narrow it down.

I know this is not your area, but do you have any idea, why would the Discourse load with modified hosts file on my Windows and without it, it does not load? It would sound like my domain or the DNS is not responding, but I highly doubt, because I can traceroute and ping it from the outside..

[이미지] Marcell Csendes: It would sound like my domain or the DNS is not responding, but I highly doubt [이미지] If it works when changing the hosts file it’s probably DNS. Maybe a wrong AAAA entry and a working A entry will make it inconsistent to reproduce?

Others domains are pointing to it as well and they are OK. Even the root domain brohosting.eu works fine on it. That’s why I have strange feelings.

Figured out, it was not the DNS

예를 들어 curl -v localhost:3000를 실행하면 됩니다.
