> **[Building a Discourse Community](https://blog.discourse.org/2014/08/building-a-discourse-community/)**
>
> Sure, anyone can set up their very own Discourse in 30 minutes or less. But how do you get people to go there?

> **[Launching a Successful Discourse Community](https://blog.discourse.org/2018/08/launching-a-successful-discourse-community/)**
>
> While we’ve offered general tips for building a Discourse community, we also get a lot of questions about what specifically you can do to help launch a successful Discourse community.

> **[Overnight Success: It Takes Years](https://blog.codinghorror.com/overnight-success-it-takes-years/)**
>
> Paul Buchheit, the original lead developer of Gmail, notes that the success of Gmail was a long time in coming:
>
> We starting working on Gmail in August 2001. For a long time, almost everyone disliked it. Some people used it anyway because of the...
