# Discourse installation error

That error is running out of ram.

How much ram and swap do you have? What does

```plaintext
free -h

```

tell you?

You’ll need to add memory and/or swap. If you’ve got just 1GB of ram, I’d add 4 GB of swap. And I’ve been increaing people with 2GB of RAM to 3 or 4GB as well.
