# Display latest posts under Categories on root page

Hi,

On my home page, I have 3 custom categories.  
Below the 3rd category I would simply like to be able to display several of the latest topics from any other 3 categories - is there a way to do that, either with default functionality and / or plugin / theme component, etc.
