# Do admins bypass "Max mentions per post" setting value?

I need to mention several dozen users in a public topic.

The use case: we are gathering photos to be set in a welcome banner. The photo selection contains several dozen pictures posted by many members.

I want to get the authorization from each author before putting them in a banner, while showing the selection to anyone so it can be discussed as well.

My topic will contain all the selected pictures, and a @mention of each author so they can agree or not.

I could set the **Max mentions per post** to an arbitrarily high value for this purpose, but I’d like to know if this setting is bypassed by admin or staff.

Also, can technical issues come from mentioning a high number of users?
