Do I need to manually pull hotlinked images?

(Channing Hinton) #1

As I’ve stated in this post here PullHotlinkedImages triggers a “Job exception: failed to allocate memory” error, I’m currently getting out of memory errors when Discourse tries to download remote attachments. Once I have this issue fixed, will Discourse go ahead and pull any remote attachments that it contains? Is there a need to force a pull of remote attachments once the problem is fixed?

You can run rebake all of your posts with rake task

How exactly do I do that?

Seems you haven’t got that many posts - you can rebake an individual post from the wrench menu:

There are around 500 historical posts amongst about 180 topics that will be added in. What terminal commands do I run to do this en masse?

Off the top of my head I think it’s this:

cd /var/discourse
./launcher enter app
rake posts:rebake

You can check /sidekiq on your install to see how the baking :bread: is going.

EDIT: Yay, confirmation here:
