# Do the API endpoints change when migrating to hosted

The _API endpoints_ do not change, no.

But depending on how old your hosted site was the authentication method may have changed; check [the documentation](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-rest-api-comprehensive-examples/274354) to ensure it is still correct.
