For security reasons, you really should be running the latest versions of the software, but that’s your decision…

According to [How to reload configuration after app.yml changes? - #2 by riking](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-reload-configuration-after-app-yml-changes/26363/2), if you are only changing settings in the env section of the app.yml and you don’t need that env for bootstrapping, `./launcher restart app` should work to reload the SMTP settings.
