# Does "Toggle topic bump" still send notifications?

Hey!

When I “Toggle topic bump” - will it still notify those who are watching/tracking a topic?

There’s times that I want to update an old topic with up-to-date info, but I also don’t want it sending notifications. Does toggling topic bump prevent this?

Are you referring to the Reset bump date button in the admin wrench? I believe no notifications are sent for this.

Nope, the “Toggle topic bump” here.

When I create the reply, I don’t want notifications sent

IIRC it still does - it acts as a normal reply, just that the topic isn’t bumped. (Someone please correct me if I’m wrong)
