Is it possible to download some of the content from a Discourse site? We want to create a backup/download of some but not all the information on our website - any advice?

1. Users can export their data. by going to `your-discourse-site/my/preferences/account` scroll down to ‘Export your data’
2. [Create, download, and restore a backup of your Discourse database](https://meta.discourse.org/t/create-download-and-restore-a-backup-of-your-discourse-database/122710). You can choose whether your backup includes uploads or not

Can you say more about what you’re trying to do? Why just some? What parts? Certain categories? What are you going to do with the data once you have it?
