Draft not abandoned on Discourse Android app

(Christoph) #1

I’m accessing Meta through the Discourse Android app and it keeps asking me whether I want to abandon a draft that I started on a desktop computer some time ago. Three things are strange about this:

  1. I am just reading posts and did not intend to compose any (so the question is irrelevant).
  2. I believe I already abandoned that draft on a desktop computer yesterday.
  3. When I agree to abandon the draft on the mobile app, it does not go away.

Feel free to dismiss 1 and 2 because I cannot absolutely rule out user mistakes for those.

Wait… why is this in any way related to the android app? Does it not happen exactly the same when you try in Chrome?

Good point. I didn’t check that. I was just being precise in describing what I see. Can’t reproduce now because, after my post, the draft is obviously gone.

We need repro steps, otherwise this is just noise.

I think everybody here knows that developers need to reproduce faulty behaviour in order to eliminate the bug. Describing the behaviour is a first step in that direction. If nobody sees the same behaviour and it can’t be reproduced, then it is noise.
