# Easier way to send a PM to a group?

Is there an easier way to send a PM to a group?

Perhaps a PM button could be exposed on the [group page](https://meta.discourse.org/groups/discourse/members) if the user visiting the page as permissions to ‘allow group to be used as an alias’?
Additionally or alternatively, could [something like this](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-open-composer-with-prefilled-content/13801) be done to open the PM window and fill in the initial recipient list for a PM?

To encourage private conversations and make it easier for users to use that feature I simply added a “Private Conversation”-Button next to the “create new topic” one in the main page. I found that a very sufficient solution. You can find it [as a plugin here](https://github.com/ligthyear/discourse-plugin-pm-button). (Feels like we need an official plugin-discovery-repo …)
