I have to go into specific topic and scroll down to stop watching or tracking it. It would be good to have an easier way, for example, from user profile or from list of topics like it is for favorites.
Yep, this has come up a ton of times, and the answer is the same:
We need a way to multi-select topics, then take an action on the selected group of topics.
UX mockups welcome. I am thinking some mode where the favorites star gets replaced by a checkbox or button, and perhaps a floating action overlay on the right, sort of the way we do for selecting posts in a topic in selection mode.
There are two ideas.
- Add to each topic in the list topic additional icon (eye or like that) near favorites star. Click on the eye changes watching status (watching -> tracking -> regular -> watching …).
- Add additional filter (watched/tracked) to user profile (like favorites, bookmarks, etc.) and either make favorites, bookmarks, watched, etc. icon clickable (remove on click) or add additional button.
This is now possible, at least for staff:
but in general you want the Dismiss Unread and Dismiss New buttons at the bottom of the New and Unread tabs respectively. Also new!
