# Edit own or other posts as admin/mod not possible

Sporadically, it is not possible to edit own or other posts as admin/mod.  
Likewise for forum users if the time frame would allow it.

Is the edit button present or missing? do you get an error when it’s clicked? any additional detail you have could help.

No, sorry.

I have searched here and on the internet and found nothing about this phenomenon.

An experienced moderator, who has been active in several discourse forums for many years, has not experienced it either.

I am lost 😉

For some time, the problem has disappeared, self-healing or fixed by an update.
