# Email digest for specific categories

We’re implementing discourse for courses and would like to allow students to select email delivery for the specific categories (courses) they are enrolled in. Is that already possible or a feature request?

Eta I think this might be similar to the request [Watch Groups to Receive Notifications when Members Post](https://meta.discourse.org/t/watch-groups-to-receive-notifications-when-members-post/53394)

Generally this would be done by category or tag, not by group.

Category works for the courses, I think.
