Maybe this is already solved, but we have two email addresses associated with our discourse instance:
"email@example.com" (“contact email” and “notification email” settings)
"%@talk.ourdomain.com" (“re ply by email address”)
when discourse sends a mail it’s from address is firstname.lastname@example.org and the reply to address as email@example.com, this works well for most users, however some users manage to use the wrong address, either because they have a special support system on the other side or because their email client sucks.
I’m looking for suggestions on how to best handle this. I monitor the firstname.lastname@example.org address for these cases, but is there some way I can “Feed” a post into discourse, either as a new post or append to an existing post but still retain the original user?
