# Embedded comments on wordpress and cookies

One of the top tech-blog sites in Spain, Hipertextual, have decided to [close his posts to comments and subsitute them by a Slack channel](http://hipertextual.com/2016/04/anuncio-comentarios-comunidad) :facepalm:
I [tweeted to them](https://twitter.com/DavidGNavas/status/717751265866985472) to recommend Discourse, and one friend asks if Discourse inserts some cookies on the page in the WordPress site…
I think that the plugin only inserts the comments (and a link to go to the discussion), but did you know if it does insert something else?

That is what i thought, i only would want to confirm that the Discourse-wp-plugin doesn’t insert any cookie or additional code due to the concern of my friend.
