Embedded Youtube videos fixed size

Hi!
I found really good discussion here https://meta.discourse.org/t/youtube-embed-size/20394/20
Where solution is to add &width=690&height=400 to th end of the YT link, but, is it possible to make it standard for all YT links?
Thanks!

Yeah, would be cool to have YT by default with 100% width of response container.

Let me bump that

Any idea how to set fixed size of youtube video?

Currently when you just paste url YT video is much smaller than text box , you can easily go after and after.

This part is empty

Now YT changed something and adding &width=690&height=400 doesn’t work anymore.
Embed option doesn’t work as well

<iframe width="690" height="400" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mT_5zokf8eI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Any thoughts, ideas?
Cheers!

I think this sounds like a very interesting experiment in a theme component, I agree that communities that are very visual and share lots of videos could gain from a larger YouTube player.

@Johani has ran some experiments in the past here with Discourse Youtube player
