Endless scrolling + footer =

(Michael Downey) #1

Is there anything we can do to reconcile the “Bottom of the pages” HTML footer option with the endless scrolling of topic pages? As it stands now, the only practical place this footer can be seen is inside pages.

Or to put it more succinctly as Bored Elon Musk did on Twitter

Oh man don’t get me started on this. Those kind of sites need a ‘stop the darn scrolling already’ button (and yes that button should be on the footer)

you can you a fixed position div at the bottom of the page and voila footer, Here it may conflict with the composer / draft in case they are visible

ok then, meet me at the corner of this room and we can further discuss it.

Following the trend today more you scroll the bigger it gets (footer). At the end who really needs it.

You can stop scrolling just let go the darn mouse wheel

Ironically, though, the most avid members of your community will find themselves at the ends of topics a lot.

And @zogstrip greatly improved our footer support recently.
