# Enhance theme with a theme-component

Hi!
Is it possible to extend/modify a theme with a theme component.
I know you can fork or download the theme and then modify it etc.
But this is too much work, because it can happen that the original theme has been changed a lot, then you have to compare again, and if it goes badly, my changes were overwritten again.
I think you know what I mean, so the question if you can extend a theme with an additional theme component.
Forgot to mention that this theme-component should only work with the theme I want to overwrite/change.

Yes, each theme component has a setting **“Include component on these themes”**. The component will only be included in the themes that you select here.
