# Error when installing Advertising

I’m trying to install House Ads, I take it from [GitHub - discourse/discourse-adplugin: Official Discourse Advertising Plugin. Install & Start Serving Ads on Your Discourse Forum · GitHub](https://github.com/discourse/discourse-adplugin)  
and it gives me an error

You need to follow these instructions for plugins. you can’t install them the same way as theme components.
