# Event reminder email

Is there a way to have event reminders be an email? Right now it just sends a reminder on the community but it’s easy to miss that notification if it’s not in your inbox

I think that it does send an email notification, depending on the user’s email settings.

But I haven’t tested that out, and you might well be right.

It would certainly be helpful to push out a ‘full notification’ for these things as per the user’s settings.

Also, I’m not sure what happens with notifications for events for calendars that are subscribed to - this might be another way to achieve the same goal (i.e. ping up on their device).

Thanks, I tested it, and it didn’t send an email. But now I’m thinking maybe I can comment on the event and anyone who has rsvp’d should get an email? I need to test it

Yes, they definitely will!

But it might be a useful #Contribute > Feature request to have full notifications go out for events.
