# Excerpts disappearing from air theme

It appears with this change:

Excerpts are now not displaying with the air theme. Is there anyway to get them to display again?

Hi Jacob - can you confirm what version of Core you have? [This change](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/210559edc840c70e0b463559ff5e82a2129a2311) from two days ago made some improvements to the API which discourse-air now depends on.

If you visit the “Update” tab in your dashboard and upgrade to the latest version of core, then I think the issue should be resolved.
That said, ideally the theme shouldn’t be dependent on such a recent change to core, so I will look at adding some backwards-compatibility on the theme side 👀

Great! I’ve also prepared [a tweak for the theme](https://github.com/discourse/discourse-air/pull/67) so that this problem shouldn’t affect anyone else.
