Failed to parse SourceMap error when viewing the admin pages

(Arran Scott) #1

Hi all,

I seem to be getting an error similar to the one described in this link javascript - ESRI : Failed to parse source map - Stack Overflow

I’m aware that I can just turn off source maps in chrome and it would suppress the error but it doesn’t actually fix the issue itself.

I thought it might’ve been something to do with a plugin I’m writing but I’ve disabled it and ran Discourse alone and it still seems to error, oddly though it only happens on the admin pages, after a page refresh.

Has anyone noticed this, if so does anyone know what the fix is?

Guys this is a problem with the current version of Discourse installed this afternoon.

I don’t think we have the maps for ember template compiler in dev, never really needed to step into that code

Ok, so does that mean it won’t happen in production @sam?

Yes that will not happen in production, templates are pre-compiled, no need for the compiler.
