# FAQ/Guidlines doesn't onebox?

I’ve noticed when trying to share the FAQ/Guidelines link, it doesn’t onebox. Is there a reason for that? It seems to apply to all of the system-generated links in the hamburger menu.

It would seem to me that we should be able to link and onebox our own internal links!

I just tried to OneBox the FAQ link in my forum to a test category we use for things such as this. It _did not_ OneBox. From my understanding, if the site doesn’t have certain information (data) that is related to the link, there is nothing to OneBox. We have come across several external links that have not OneBoxed. There was an explanation regarding how OneBox works, what it does and looks for in a URL. Here’s the link to the discussion.
"Please note that Discourse _does_ require the description tag to be present and contain enough text to summarize the page, or the target link will not onebox. "
Once you’ve pasted the link, behind the scenes, [onebox](https://github.com/discourse/onebox) visits the destination page and checks for [Open Graph](http://ogp.me/) or [oEmbed](https://oembed.com/) tags, including:
- site address
- title
- feature image
- description (mandatory)
- product price

So we we’re updating our guidelines again, and once again I am stymied by the bizarre nature of this function. Guidelines still don’t onebox or behave with the functionality of a topic. Also don’t love the inability to change the /faq link… it isn’t an FAQ, and that isn’t even the name of the page in the templates.
