Pavilion submitted an application to [NLnet](https://nlnet.nl/) for 40,000 Euros to add federation support to Discourse (see below). It was rejected and we ended up applying for (and getting accepted) into [DAPSI instead](https://meta.discourse.org/t/events-integration-plugin-beta/241170).
