I just thought of this idea of filtering digests by group (or username?) again and came across my own post from back in September. I have recategorized as feature and added some tags. Besides wanting to produce curated newsletters, I often need to know how/what other people see on my site right at the moment, depending on the groups they are in, and the digest preview would be a great way to do this (short of impersonating them). I also often am interested in manually sending reminders to individual users from time to time. Being able to generate a digest preview specifically for them to copy-paste into an email would be huge. This could look like the mockup below. I’d be satisfied to be able to filter either by username or by one or more groups.
