# Flags should trigger the favicon notification icon

As the title states, it’d be great if when a flag is added to the queue, the favicon lit up like it does for hearts/replies/DMs. Right now the favicon number doesn’t go up, but if you click the tab you can see the red flag icon over your profile picture, which makes it hard to detect unless you’re already using the site.

Update: Turns out I requested push notifications [in 2022](https://meta.discourse.org/t/browser-notifications-for-flags-and-likes/235540) (which I don’t even remember doing) but this feels separate to that so I’ll continue to treat it as a new request.
