# Is formal German available?

Hey @gerhard,

I think I have a running Development environment now (still trying to set it up within docker, but the one set up along the instructions in [Install Discourse on Ubuntu or Debian for Development](https://meta.discourse.org/t/beginners-guide-to-install-discourse-on-ubuntu-for-development/14727) seems to be willing to run), but struggling with [Add a new locale from plugin](https://meta.discourse.org/t/add-a-new-locale-from-plugin/78962) and [GitHub - discourse/translations-manager · GitHub](https://github.com/discourse/translations-manager).

Can you give some advice?
