Update: Have uninstalled for now, every time I picked up my phone it’d warn me the app crashed

I agree. And when you visit a community, the tech stack decides whether you need to use the Discourse app or the Tapatalk app… really weird.
OTOH you could see Facebook groups as mini communities and you visit them through the Facebook app and we all think that’s normal. But at least they share the same user account.

0.4.0 was build using Xcode 15 beta 1 and can only run on iOS 17 beta 1.
Yesterday Apple released Xcode 15 beta 2 and iOS 17 beta 2. I just use Xcode 15 beta 2 to build 0.4.1 to fix it.
TL,DR: 0.4.0 can only run on iOS 17 beta 1, if you upgraded to iOS 17 beta 2, you need to update the 0.4.1 version.

What’s new in 0.5.0 TestFlight version:
- Add Community iCloud sync support
- Update AppIcon and add a selector section to change it back to the old one
Also it fixed the crash issue on iOS 17 beta 4

Which iOS versions are supported or planned to be supported?
I ask because of removed support for iOS 12 (eg iPad Air original) in official Discourse.

Fourumate is just a hobby project and will use the latest Apple API, so it will only support the latest OS.
- v0.1~v0.3 supports iOS 16+, watchOS 9+ and macOS 13+
- v0.4.0-beta only supports iOS & iPadOS 17 beta 1, watchOS 10 beta 1 and macOS 14 beta 1
- v0.4.1-beta only supports iOS & iPadOS 17 beta 2-3, watchOS 10 beta 2-3 and macOS 14 beta 2-3
- v0.5.0-beta only supports iOS & iPadOS 17 beta 4, watchOS 10 beta 4 and macOS 14 beta 4
- v0.5.1-beta only supports iOS & iPadOS 17 beta 5, watchOS 10 beta 5 and macOS 14 beta 5
It is expected that v1.0.0 will support iOS 17+, watchOS 10+ and macOS 14+

Forumate 0.6.0 Beta is released and will be available via TestFlight later.
What’s new:
- Add initial support for visionOS
- Add macOS app icon update support
- Add search, pin and reorder support for community list
- Add appearance and theme color customization

Forumate 0.7.0 is release and will be available via TestFlight later. (iOS 17+ is needed)

Wow, Forumate looks really cool. It’s great to see more movement in the Discourse native app space, especially the goal to get support across all Apple devices (even tvOS!).
Thanks for picking up the torch where Fig left off. Looking forward to what’s next for this project!
