# FR: Auto close after solved timer paused for weekends

I use Discourse as an internal knowledge base at work. I have the “solved topics auto close hours” set to 48 hours to allow some discussion before closing topics.
I have a slight issue in that topics which are solved on a Friday dont get the same time for discussion as they would during the working week.
If possible a nice addition would be to define the working day e.g Mon- Fri 9am - 6pm and then an option to only allow the auto close timer to only run down during working hours. eg auto close 10 working hours after being solved.

Probably easier just to extend the timer a bit, rather than add new complexity that’d be hard to code, and to explain.

That is what i ended up doing, just thought it would be a nice feature to have.
