# Full-page Navigation: an alternative to the 'evil' (but delicious) hamburger

How about replacing the hamburger, notification and profile elements with a button that simply says ‘Menu’ which, when clicked, displays a full-page navigation?

Here’s a mockup:

I feel that removing the avatar is a bad idea. Otherwise how would you know if you’re logged in or not?

Also, what would the menu look like when opened?

The Menu, Search and Profile navs could all be full-screen.

I’ll try to create a mockup of what the navs could look like later today. It might have to wait until tomorrow though (very busy day ahead)…

OK so we add the word “menu”. Which has to be localized and might be enormous in different languages. Not a fan. 😕

Can you mockup what would _happen_ when you expand “menu”? That might be more interesting.
