# 用/g/代替/groups/，就像用/c/代替/categories/一样

to make the addresses of the groups shorter and easier to handle, may the `https://meta.discourse.org/groups/plugin_authors` become `https://meta.discourse.org/g/plugin_authors`?

just the same way that happens for categories?

It is quite straight forward, I’ll add it to my list and will make the default `/g`.

This can be done later for 2.3, of course, no rush.

Yes both options will be supported for backwards compatibility but `/g` will be the default.
