# Get notification from all new posts except my own?

As an admin, I’ve just set up a Discourse forum and I would like to get an email about every new topic opened.
For this I’ve checked “Send me an email for every new post (unless I mute the topic or category)”.
This works well, however I also get an email of every single one of my own replies! That’s really annoying.
Is this a bug?
If not, is there a better way to be notified of every new topic created?

Nope, this is by design, this is how mailing lists have always historically worked. There are a number of existing topics on this if you’d like to search for them.
