# GitHub Plugin API error 301

I’ve been seeing a number of errors in the log reporting a 301 error with the GitHub API.

`Discourse::GithubApi::Error: GitHub API error (status 301)`

I’m not able to set a new `github_linkback_access_token` due to the 301 errors and can not save the access token in case this is transient. Any attempts to save that value reports said error.
