# Google analytics setup (not using tag manager)

I am trying to track the traffic source of my discourse and found a topic discussing the GA setup (tag manager). However, we don’t use tag manager.
The setup is mentioned by Simon here briefly. I found it difficult to follow. Is there a detailed guide for analytics setup? Thanks a lot!

Just set `ga universal tracking code` and `ga tracking code` in system settings.
