I did a search for this [topic](https://www.google.com/search?q=%22about+building+a+super-simple%2C+hack-free+TB2+build+for+use+with+older+Macbooks.+It%27s+not+guaranteed+to+work+with+all+configurations%2C+and+it%27s+only+good+for+BootCamp%2C+but+now+I+don%27t+feel+the+need+to+upgrade+for+another+year+or+more.%22&oq=%22about+building+a+super-simple%2C+hack-free+TB2+build+for+use+with+older+Macbooks.+It%27s+not+guaranteed+to+work+with+all+configurations%2C+and+it%27s+only+good+for+BootCamp%2C+but+now+I+don%27t+feel+the+need+to+upgrade+for+another+year+or+more.%22&aqs=chrome..69i57.886j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=%22about+building+a+super-simple,+hack-free+TB2+build+for+use+with+older+Macbooks.+It's+not+guaranteed+to+work+with+all+configurations,+and+it's+only+good+for+BootCamp,+but+now+I+don't+feel+the+need+to+upgrade+for+another+year+or+more.%22&filter=0), which is a comment on CodingHorror’s March 2017 post

The first link Google points to, is the blogpost and the second one to the forum/comment discussion/post.

When I click on the [link](https://discourse.codinghorror.com/t/thunderbolting-your-video-card/5157/20) it takes me to another post that is not the one I searched for. The one I searched for is [this](https://discourse.codinghorror.com/t/thunderbolting-your-video-card/5157/12).
