# Google sign in set up

Please go easy on me. Dangerous enough to get in trouble here.

Total newbie here to Discourse, forums admin, everything!

Managed to get [theparkingforums.com](http://theparkingforums.com) up and running. I am tweaking what I can and would like users to be able to sign on with google accounts. I did step by step instruction in the welcome topic, got my long codes and secret code from google, selected enable. Tried it and got error.

Error: invalid\_client

The OAuth client was not found.

Any ideas what I did wrong?

These things usually come down to a typo or a server quirk. Did you ask the [Communiteq](https://www.communiteq.com) (formerly DiscourseHosting) folks to take a look at your backend settings?
