# Got something nice to say about discourse? y.e.s

y - you can do whatever with the code because its open sourced  
e - elegant design and support service with a great community  
s - search for any forums, discourse comes up as no.1 because its self host-able

what are your thoughts, I personally love discourse as its amazing for a community

That certainly isn’t unique to Discourse; there’s plenty of other forum software that you can self-host. But Discourse makes it much easier than most.

Indeed, I completely agree with you and other platforms provide self hosting but they try and challenge you to make you pay them for it and with Discourse they provide a self hosting tutorial as they are not money-greedy whatsoever.
