# Group tagging notification

Hi Everyone,
I was searching some documentation about discourse and the possibilities to tag groups in threads like you have in Slack, but I couldn’t find it yet. So I drop it over here 😃.
Is there a possibility to make an usergroup for example `team-finance` add member to it and when someone tags the group everyone inside that group gets an notification?

It is indeed. 🙂 @mentions work for groups as well as individuals. 👍 If you create a group called `team-finance`, you can then `@team-finance` in posts to send out notifications to them.
You can set who can @mention a group in the group settings. There’s also a bit more detail in:
