# Having difficulty configuring S3 backups

Hello,

I’ve had a Discourse installation running for a couple of years with backups being done locally. I’m trying to reconfigure my Discourse installation to send backups to an S3 bucket and I cannot seem to get it working. Discourse its self does not list any backups and when I check the S3 bucket I find nothing there.

I believe that I have my credentials, region and bucket name entered correctly. I’ve confirmed that I can upload files to this bucket using an FTP client app.

I’m not sure how to diagnose the problem.

Here are my settings:

And here is my log showing some entries relating to backups:

Yes, I just checked and the system clock is correct.
