# Having trouble with TL4 not being able to edit a post

Could do with some help please.
When I assigned Trust Level 4 (TL4) to a user the option to Edit-posts isn’t available, yet a previous post indicates that it should be?
If it’s changed since then is there a way to assign Edit-post capabilities other than Moderator etc. please?

TL4s should indeed be able to edit all posts by default. There is an admin setting `trusted users can edit others` that may influence this, so it might be worth checking to see if that has been toggled off at some point:
