# Help creating a jump to top button

This is ugly and a bit hacky but it works:

After Header:

```plaintext
<div id="jumptotop" onclick="Discourse. __container__.lookup('controller:topic').send('jumpToIndex', 1)">
Jump to Top
</div>

```

Minimal CSS:

```plaintext
#jumptotop{
    padding:5px;
    position: fixed;
    bottom: 0px;
    right: 50px;
    background-color: red;
}

```

Shouldn’t be hard to make that prettier 🙂
