Help with header CSS needed (please)

#1

I need some Discourse/CSS help please! I want to add an Edit My Profile link into our header, here:

I can only manage to display it here (by floating right)

or here (by floating left)

What am I missing?

Here is my code:

CSS

.nav-link-container {
  li {
    display: inline-block;
    float: left;
    a {
      color: #333333;
      text-decoration: none;
      text-align: center;
      line-height: 42px;
      min-width: 90px;
      font-size: 15px;
      padding: 1.6em 0.8em;
    }
  }
}

and in the </head>

<script type='text/x-handlebars' data-template-name='/connectors/header-after-home-logo/add-header-links'>
  {{#unless showExtraInfo}}
    <ul class="nav-link-container" style="text-align: left;">
        <li><a class="nav-link " href="https://my.uxmastery.com/users/edit" target="_self">Edit My Profile</a></li>
    </ul>
  {{/unless}}
</script>

Thanks @mikechristopher – your links are exactly where I want mine. Perfect.

I’ll pick through that code and find the relevant bits.

Make sure you check the links when logged out also as I had to add some extra padding on mine if I remember rightly as overlapped the login boxes
