# 更新组件遇到问题，上传新版本时出现错误提示

我们托管了一个 Discourse 网站。

我正在尝试修复某个组件中的 JavaScript，因为有人告诉我们它“ **使用了不再与当前 Discourse 版本兼容的旧方法** ”。

建议是“ **创建一个新文件** ”，然后“ **进入管理后台 → 自定义 → 主题 → 你的主题 → 编辑文件，接着使用文件树在该路径下添加一个新文件** ”，但我们没有这个选项，所以我尝试创建并安装一个新的组件。

当我尝试安装新组件时，收到以下错误信息：“ **发生错误：导入错误：about.json 不存在或无效。您确定这是一个 Discourse 主题吗？** ”。错误信息中没有具体说明问题所在，我已尝试多种方法，但始终收到相同的错误。
