# Mijn openbare profiel verbergen blijft vastzitten in de aan/verbergen-stand

It looks like this setting has moved to **Preferences \> Profile**.

I only bring this up as a user’s profile is currently stuck in hidden mode even though this setting is disabled for the user. Still troubleshooting the issue on our end. We’re self-hosted.

It’s a feature added in December ([3.4.0.beta3: Check for updates on What’s New page, filter by user in the review queue, threading in Chat DMs and group chats, and more](https://meta.discourse.org/t/3-4-0-beta3-check-for-updates-on-what-s-new-page-filter-by-user-in-the-review-queue-threading-in-chat-dms-and-group-chats-and-more/343237))

There is also a new site setting `Hide new user profiles`
