# Hide user profile and from user page & user search

Hi
Is it possible to for users to hide their Discourse profile and hide themselves from the user page & user search?
Secondly is it possible to give users read-only access?
Finally can these setting be set via the API?
As some background:
We have a closed Forum setup, authenticated via SSO to a separate systems where users already have profiles and the ability to hide their profiles from other users. I’m thinking if a user set their profile as private in the other system, we would hide their discourse profile, and hide them from the user page and search, and restrict them to read-only access.

This is possible now, though I am not sure it removes the user from search – check your user preferences to hide your presence and user page.

Это не удаляет имя пользователя (или полное имя) из автодополнения имени пользователя в расширенном поиске, что я считаю проблемой безопасности.

Ты можешь настроить доступ с правами только на чтение для некоторых пользователей.
Я знаю два способа это сделать.
Уровень доверия или использование групп.
В настройках категории (безопасность) установите либо Уровень доверия 0, либо группу, которой вы хотите разрешить просмотр (только чтение).
Например:
Уровень доверия 0. Просмотр
readonlyGro. Просмотр
Readnwrite Grp. Просмотр/Ответ/Создание
