# Hiding Parent Categories when Creating topics

Hello Folks!
When people are creating new topics, for a certain parent category I’d like them to see only the name of the sub category rather than than seeing `Partent Category Sub Category` is there a way of achieving this?

If you prevent the group from creating topics in that category doesn’t that hide it?

A really easy way would not to use a parent category, but I guess that’s not what you want?
It might be possible to hide it with CSS, but I think it’ll be tricky.
