# Hiding posts with specific category from lists

Back in 2014 when we start using discoruce there was feature to hide topics whit specific category from top menu .  
We did setup that by adding **,-category\_name** on name of top menu

Now it is not working any more.  
Is this feature dispatched ?  
Is there way now to hide posts whit specific category ?

Have a look at category settings, suppress from home page

When category is suppressed from homepage, topic still remains in New and Top lists ?  
It is not a big deal just to notice

Confirmed, yeah I think that is correct, it is the intention of the setting, just to hide from latest. We did lose some functionality with the change, but the old way was just WAY too complicated to explain to people.
